Project
Cynthia is on one case she just can’t let go. You can’t just read a sinister group’s taunting letters for 5 years and move on when they disappear. Knowing someone in their deepest state of being is to be in their mind.
As a Forensic Handwriting Expert, pouring over every letter, every stroke, trying to recognize and understand their leader is the best shot she has, especially now. However, solving this case will come at a cost. The real question is how much will Cynthia be willing to lose.

My Work
I worked on Trailing Ink as a designer and developer for 3 months. I designed everything, from the narrative to the art, and utilized the Ink pipeline to integrate it into a WebGL game. My main tasks were:
Ink Pipeline

Learning the Inkle platform to write my narrative story and its branching pathways.

Taking my Inkle story and converting it into Inky, where I cleaned up the narrative interactions and immersed myself in the Ink coding language.

Getting my polished story from Ink and transferring it into the Inky-Unity plugin where I was able to create the visual novel.

Finally exporting it as WebGL to be played on both Play.Unity and Itch.io.
Branching Narratives

I created branching narratives with meaningful plotlines for a different play-through experience each time.

Interesting options for players to choose from to make the decisions emotionally weighted.

Substantial endings that coordinate with the overall story.
Detailed Dialouge

Intense tone and dialogue throughout the story to draw the player in.

Mysterious themes paired with narrative puzzles to drive home the "investigative" atmosphere.

Dialogue filled with hidden themes for the player to decode.
